Broken Bells - The High Road (Disrox!53)

Danger Mouse is een producer en artiest die constant bezig blijft. Deze Amerikaans - die door het leven gaat als Brian Joseph Burton - heeft enkele topproducties achter zijn naam staan. Zo heeft hij albums van Gorillaz en Beck geproduceerd, heeft hij de instrumenten The White Album van The Beatles gecombineerd met de raps van Jay-Z's The Black Album, wat resulteerde in The Grey Album. Daarnaast is hij ook de helft van Gnarls Barkley, dit succesvolle duo wat geen introductie nodig heeft. Maar, zoals het een echte artiest beaamd, kan Danger Mouse niet stilzitten. Daarm heeft hij nu een nieuw project, samen met James Mercer - de frontman van The Shins. Het nieuwe duo heet Broken Bells en de debuutplaat moet volgend jaar in maart uitkomen. De eerste single is "The High Road". Een relaxte topsong, waardoor ik niet kan wachten tot de rest van het album...
